Ender 3 bullseye fan

You can see in the smoke generated video that it matches the airflow simulation as anticipated. If you want to see some test results for the Bullseye check out my Youtube channel Bullseye Playlist.

These are structural parts and need to be strong, especially the mounting points. Could add it with slicer. For the old v2 bases without the nut capture fasteners are as follow: You'll need to replace the short 3mm stock front screw with a 3mm x 25mm socket head screw.

Re-use one of your short 3mm screws from stock fan base if you are using the Stock Fan Duct. Seems it's readily available at the hardware store To mount the duct to the base I used 3mm x 8mm socket head screws. Since none of this mount touches the hot or cooling end of the Micro Swiss or stock hot end you could print this with PLA. This mod incorporates 2 separate, enlarged plenums with a balance port in between. The balanced port adjusts the positive pressure within each duct to produce a balanced airflow from each out-port.

It is designed for. Files have the Dualfan in the name and will fit the corresponding bases. Dualfan should be used with a Volcano Hotend for best performance. It is adjustable by 10mm so it should fit a lot of dial gauges. It tucks the dial gauge right close to the X rail and really works well. Added 1mm height adjustment to ducts. Files are at the bottom of the files page. I will be moving them to their own page once all testing is done. You can see it here.

I reviewed my files and they were right. I have adjusted those files and they are uploaded. Sorry about that. The Creality Ender 3 Pro is my first 3D printer. I purchased it as I have previously 'played' with CAD packages and been frustrated at not being able to physically handle the fruits of my labour.

I saw this purchase as move from imagination to reality or Creality. I was not disappointed. With only the instructions from the box It took me about 2 hours to build, I definitely think I could have managed it quicker but I was working on other things in parallel. I powered the unit up, mounted some filament, inserted the SD card, selected the dog model and hit print. It has been printing boxes, filament guides, vases etc for 3 days now without a break, even printing my own 3D design which I pulled together with one of the well know print packages.

I have had a few 3D printers from different manufactures and all have given me hours of entertainment as I have had to search the Internet forums for help in getting them built, set up correctly and advice on what went wrong with my many failed prints. Like millions in the UK I find myself confined to my house and I have watched everything on Netflix so I decided to un-box and set up the CR V2 assured of many hours of fiddling around and searching for the answers to problems on the Internet and hours spent trying to contact customer support for missing parts and trying to decipher badly translated manuals So I have to report that I am disappointed It took me 30 mins to build the 3D printer, not even a missing screw, and the concise manual with pictures made perfect sense.

I kept looking in the empty box as surely I had missed something vital but no, all was as it should be. I powered it up, no error messages. I threaded the filament which got snagged because I hadn't realised it needed to be straight, took a minute to figure that out. I levelled the Bed, that admittedly took me two goes. The quality of the cute little cat is amazing.

Now I have to find something else to do to fill up the many weeks in isolation ahead, well I guess I will just get on and print a load of stuff. Thanks Creality. But wait, I also have the BLTouch bed levelling device to install and a Titan direct extruder, I am sure these will not work and I will have days of fun fixing them I will post a review shortly, hopefully it will not be boring. I watched Youtube videos before assembling and was ready for the one or the other tweaks and adjustments.

But my Ender 3 Pro came fully adjusted and many problems related in past videos were solved by Creality. Thank you very much. Great printer and even greater printer for the money! I have after a long time finally assebmled the unit and I love the printer. The semi assembled parts were not correct and had to be adjusted, and that was a bit weird, they could have been correct or not together at all.

I even had one screw that were round and couldnt be adjusted pointed it out on the picture with an arrow. But it still makes the prints great, So I guess I have to live with it.

It is also a bit noisy and good to make a box for noise reduction if running in the same room as where you are. Heads up, the instructions are Ikea meets Beijing. Just pay attention; the rails are not identical, i had to dissamble midway to fit power supply properly, then again with PLA roll.

You'll see. It's no big deal. For the captured nuts, insert the assembly at the top and keep pressure slightly pull the assembly toward you you slide them down. Electrical fittings were hard to locate, but they're all there and they all have a mate!

There are a few that make it print more reliable with a modicum of money, and you will want additional PTFE connectors. In this section, I am going to look at Ender-3 upgrades you can purchase. You may not need them day one, but I highly recommend getting them sooner, rather than later.

These top 4 are the ones I recommend getting right off the bat. None are overly expensive. I highly recommend an Octopi server.

Using an inexpensive Raspberry Pi and web cam, you can easily monitor your prints. It also works to allow you to remotely fire off prints, if not at home. I have an Amazon Echo and have gotten into home automation. While its nice to be able to remotely start up and monitor your prints. Being able to conserve a little power is even better.

I can independently turn the power on or off for each outlet, plus, my Octopi servers can plug into the 4 USB slots on it. It sits under my main printer rack.

I talk about remote 3D Printing a lot more in this article.

How to 3D Print and Install the Petsfang Duct for the Creality ENDER 3

I talk about the above Octoprint server, WiFi smart power strip as well as my Wyze cameras that I now use as well. I have not found this to be worthwhile near as much as upgrading the board with a silent board.
